The PowerCat 6A die-cast Shielded RJ45 Connector is the cornerstone of the PowerCat 6A System offering superior alien crosstalk mitigation and insertion loss. The spring loaded shutter means that it not only protects from dust and contaminants, but also ejects improperly seated or damaged patch cords.
Robust 24 and 48 port panels supplied with equally robust cable management trays for cable strain relief and uniform cable dressing. The angled panel design provides enhanced port access and minimizes patch cord bend radius while eliminating the need for horizontal rack managers, thus allowing higher port density in racks - ideal for Data Center applications.
Specifically designed to support 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GBase-T), this high performance cable minimizes alien crosstalk and provides excellent signal isolation while eliminating the effects of EMI.

What is the difference between 10Gigabit Ethernet and Category 6A ?
10Gigabit Ethernet is the networking protocol ratified by IEEE. It is a 10 fold increase in the data transmission speeds from the preceding Ethernet standard. Category 6A is the structured cabling system standard for copper cabling systems that can support 10Gigabit Ethernet data transmission.
What is the difference in performance between Category 6 and Category 6A Structured Cabling Systems ?
Category 6 cabling systems operate at a frequency of 250 MHz and support Ethernet networks at speeds up to 1 Gigabit per second (1Gbps)
Category 6A cabling systems operate at a frequency of 500 MHz and support Ethernet networks at speeds up to 10 Gigabits per second (10Gbps).
For what applications should you consider using a Category 6A cabling system ?
Category 6A cabling systems should be used to support 10Gigabit Ethernet Data transmission. Additionally Category 6A systems are ideal for use where data transmission speeds and network performance are critical or large data file transfers. Examples of this would be Data Centers, financial markets and Storage Area Networks (SAN's). A number of enterprises will also select Category 6A solutions as the system of choice from a future proofing perspective.
What are the standards for Category 6A cabling systems ?
There are a number of standards that relate to Category 6A cabling. - these are as follows:-
a) EIA/TIA - 568-B.2-10 - this standard relates to the transmission performance specification for 100 Ohm Augmented Category 6 Cabling - this standard has been ratified and published.
b) ISO/IEC 11801A1.1 - this is the International Standards Organization stanadard for the channel performance of Category 6A Cabling systems - this standard has been ratified.
c) ISO/IEC 11801.A.1.2 - this standard relates to the individual components of the Category 6A cabling system - this standard is NOT yet ratified and is in draft form.
